MORNING MINUTE JUNE 26th

Good morning everyone. Darren at Leviathan Financial. So, uh, as investors mo the bout of interest rate hikes from Central Banks last week, , there is not such optimism about the economy. Europe is most definitely showing signs of weakening economy and if anything, in Germany swinging towards a potential recession.
Uh, so that’s one thing on the mind of investors. The other thing, of course, being the news, Russia over the weekend, , uprising to strike, , repossession, whatever you call it with the Wagner Group, that uncertainty is definitely the main focus today, as you can see on volatility terms, s and p values is are.
Uh, treasuries, although not having a flight to quality is higher, , sofa as well. Uh, we’ll have to see how that pans out. , politically it’s obviously not very good and any instability, our Russia will be deemed as negative. There are no numbers today and no fed speakers, so it’ll be a case of watching news headlines for, uh, anything that may come out in terms of Russia.
