Morning everyone, Darren at Leviathan Financial. , very quiet summer session to look forward to today again. S&#038; P is going to be unchanged, volatility slightly softer. , even the short term interest rates which have been moving around are pretty static. , this is we, as we all await tomorrow&#8217;s CPI, which will hopefully give us an indication as to whether or not the Fed will be raising rates again in the July meeting. 
And the indications have been that we will get a softer CPI. , there was commentary yesterday about the used car market having collapsed recently, , to pre pandemic levels. , so that will be a good indication that maybe the&#8230; Foot is off the pedal as far as inflation goes, but we shall have to wait and see we&#8217;ve already had out one number out today Business optimism index, which came out slightly better than expected And really doesn&#8217;t have that much relevance anyway So other than that everyone as usual, good luck trading and have a great day

A QUIET SESSION AS WE LOOK TOWARDS THIS WEEK'S C.P.I. REPORT AND WHETHER THE FED WILL RAISE RATES AT THEIR JULY MEETING

END OF DAY REPORT JULY 10th

Good morning everyone. Darren at Leviathan Financial. We&#8217;re back from the July 4th holiday. Yay. Anyway, , European stocks and Chinese stocks are softer by about half a percent as very weak PMI numbers came out of there, shown that the economy are looking to contract there. So potentially the beginning of a recessionary period after all these rate heights. 
 S and p doesn&#8217;t seem to care about anything like that, uh, but is a little bit softer as well this morning. So you&#8217;ll come in seeing the, , s and p down about 18 points. , hovering just below the, 4,500 mark. So overall though, still a positive tone, but a bit weak today. Today&#8217;s focus is going to be the Fed Minutes. 
Uh, 2:00 PM Eastern, 1:00 PM Central. Uh, just as a better as to whether or not the Fed are likely to raise rates again at the July meeting, , that will be the focus before everybody else goes on holiday, for their summer vacation. So, , anyway, good luck everyone, as always and have a good day.

WEAKER PMI DATA OUT OF CHINA AND EUROZONE SEND STOCKS WEAKER AS WE AWAIT THE FED MINUTES TO GAUGE IF MORE RATE HIKES ARE COMING

Good morning everyone. Darren at Leviathan Financial, happy non-Farm Friday to you all and lot to get through. So yesterday we had ADP jobs number, which came in double what expectations were, so that sent yield spiking higher stock market lower. Although it should be noted, we are still holding a lot higher than where we were previously. 
Remember that back in just February, the s and p was trading in the 3,800 handle and we are now. , at the moment, futures indicating all the 4s, uh, in Asia . Samsung, uh, reported a 96% drop in q2. Profits. , so Asian markets are lower. The European bourses which started the day lower to follow, , Suit with the us, uh, have actually since moved into the green. 
So as we await this, the non-farm payroll number, uh, the average expectation is 240,000. I believe it&#8217;s now 16 or 17 in a row. We keep missing, uh, the target to the , , to the upside, and so expect a stronger number, especially after the adp. A stronger number will. Uh, produce a hawkish reaction within the Fed and likelihood of another rate hike, in July, or as, fed President Jerome Powell indicated at least another two more before the end of the year.
